Jimmy Chamberlin
One of the most stylish and influential drummers of the last decade or so, Jimmy Chamberlin has kept himself busy with Zwan and his own solo project - the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex - since his Smashing Pumpkin days. London Drum Company had the exciting task of looking after Jimmy during his 2005 trip to the UK for appearances at Drumfest. We ensured his two-up, two-down Yamaha kit was set just-so for his performances in Birmingham and Brentwood, and were on hand during his sets should anything go awry. Despite being pretty unforgiving on his kit, Jimmy only broke one thing during his first Drumfest slot. His bass drum pedal. Which you can see here being fixed by LDC's Simon Jayes, whom Jimmy had asked to tech for him on the shows. Given that Jimmy's all smiles, even this didn't seem to phase him... |
